Hello, I’m Amanda K. McCumber, the founder of Cairn and Roots, a pure and natural personal care line launched in April 2017. My journey into creating natural skincare wasn’t just a business decision—it was born out of a lifelong love for harnessing nature’s gifts to improve
our lives and well-being. For me, natural skincare is about more than just looking good; it’s about creating products that nurture and heal, so you feel great in your skin every day.
As a mother of six, I became deeply committed to finding better, healthier care options for my family. This led me to dive deeper into my chemistry background, blending it with my passion for natural ingredients and an appreciation for the power of alchemy. I began formulating products designed to benefit all skin types, especially those with specific needs or sensitivities. Every ingredient I choose is carefully selected to ensure quality, purity, and effectiveness, from natural shea butter to essential oils known for their soothing and healing properties.
My approach to skincare is guided by values I hold close: boldness, creativity, and a spirit of perseverance. I believe in stepping outside conventional boundaries to create products that truly stand out, like our Organic Shea Butter —designed to nourish and soften—or our Cedarwood and Tea Tree Deodorant, which combines nature’s antibacterial power with a refreshing scent for a clean, natural feel.
